Our 2011 ornament the "Mission Concepcion Floral Motif" is a replica of one of two identical flowers that are part of a fresco in the baptistry of Mission Concepción. The design was recorded by Ernst Schuhard, an early mission preservationist, in 1933. The image, though quite faded, can still be seen today. Mission Concepción is the oldest unrestored church in America and a national landmark.
